NFL Week 2 Power Rankings 2022: 1-32 poll and rookies who stood out in Week 1

Following a crazy first week of the NFL season, our Power Rankings are, as was to be expected, all over the place. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a right thumb injury that required surgery after their loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both of these unexpected occurrences occurred during Week 1, which resulted in some major moves up and down the list. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers at home, while the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Although there was a lot of movement across the rankings, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills managed to maintain their position at the top of the list. And despite the fact that they were dealt a loss by them on Thursday night, the Los Angeles Rams nevertheless maintained their position among the top five teams. However, this week saw the entry of two new clubs into the top 10, while others were knocked out of the rankings..

Along with the rankings, our 32 NFL Nation reporters from throughout the league each supply us with one rookie from their respective team who, in the first week of the season, made the most significant first impression, whether it was a positive or negative one. There were a number of first-year players who made an impact this week, including the No. 1 overall pick from the Jacksonville Jaguars, Travon Walker, and the seventh-round pick from the Los Angeles Chargers, Zander Horvath. And let’s not forget about Jahan Dotson, a rookie receiver with the Washington Commanders who made a splash in his first game by scoring two touchdowns.

So, let’s get right down to business with our team that is currently ranked first.
